Our Heros !
So in this big, bad, modern world are there any heroes left ?? Is there anyone to look up to ??? Through history there has been many like Countess Markievicz, Oscar Wilde, Anne Frank, Mahatma Gandhi, Bette Davis and Freddie Mercury but in today's overly commercial world is there any truly inspirational people left ?? Who can inspire us today ?? I think there is and here is my list of the top 4 most inspirational people of our day and age:
1. P!nk: Many may disagree with me but I do genuinely feel that Ms Moore is such an inspiration for today's youth. P!nk doesn't sing about how cool her rich boyfriend is, she sings about how boring he is, P!nk doesn't sing about shopping and her partying, she sings about the need for people to love themselves. P!nk has always been the different child in the family of super stardom. She wasn't another Beyonce, another Britney Spears or another Christina Aguilera she was P!nk and her fans love her for that. As long as P!nk stays pink she'll always be loved and will be an inspiration for anyone different and anyone who worries for the future of society.
2. Meryl Streep: Many of you may argue that Meryl doesn't belong on this list due to her age but I have to disagree. For nearly four decades she has been dominating Hollywood and she has never been anything but humble about it. Meryl may not particularly teach us how to love ourselves like P!nk but I think she teaches us to love the world around us and to always be humble. I think this was most obvious when won the Oscar for Leading actress this year. In her speech Meryl said:
"I really understand I'll never be up here again. I really want to thank all my colleagues, all my friends. I look out here and I see my life before my eyes. My old friends, my new friends. Really, this is such a great honour, but the thing that counts the most with me, is the friendships and the love and the sheer joy we have shared making movies together. My friends, thank you all of you, departed and here, for this inexplicably wonderful career. Thank you so much"
If that does not teach us all something about modesty and how we should treat others I don't know what does.
3. Mary Robinson: Mary Robinson is in my opinion one of the most inspirational Irish politicians in the history of our great state !! Many may feel that Ms Robinson has not really done much other than holding the position of president but those people are ignorant and uneducated !!! (No offence to anyone .... except the idiots :P). Ms Robinson is not just an ex president she is a warrior. Ms Robinson has helped Senator David Norris fight for gay rights, has been the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, has been Chancellor of Trinity College, has set up or helped set up a million organisations such as the Council of Women World Leaders and most impressively has been a member of The Elders a group of retired but extremely influential politicians such as Nelson Mandela and Aung San Suu Kyi who try and change the world. If I haven't given enough reasons to find Ms Robinson inspirational then I genuinely don't know what else I can do !!! :P
4. Anne Hathaway: Anne and I go WAY back. I have loved Ms Hathaway since I was 7 or 8 and I have followed her career religiously since then. I find Anne is just filled with such beauty, kindness and humanity that it surprises me that anyone can find reason not to like her. I remember the first time I watched Rachel Getting Married for the first time two and a half year ago and just crying because Anne's performance was just so beautiful. And this is not the only time she's made me cry with her beauty. I know I've already used this quote in my blog post Love is a human experience but frankly my dear I don't give a damn !!! :P
"In my household, being gay was, and is, no big deal. When my brother came out,
we hugged him, said we loved him and that was that. Just for the record, we
don’t feel that there is actually anything alternative about our family values.
I don’t consider myself just an ally to the LGBT community, I consider myself
your family. If anyone, ever, tries to hurt you, I’m going to give them hell.
There are people who’ve said that I’m being brave for being openly supportive of
gay marriage and gay adoption. With all due respect, I’m humbly decent. I’m not
being brave, I’m being a decent human being. Love is a human experience, not a
political statement"
If that is not a woman who is inspirational then I'm not sure that one exists !!!
I must apologise for the prejudice in this post. I know that all of my modern inspirations are women but as a feminist I find myself always falling for the heroine so I was bound to find women inspirational over men. Sorry !!! :P

Beauty is in you know who's eye.
Ok so if I sound mad please just ignore me. I'm sitting here on my laptop listening to Christina Perri at 2.30 in the morning and I just had a thought, this blog has been viewed over 1300 times and I want to know what makes you people tick.
I feel like crying and I'm not sure why, so I'm going to ask you all a big favour ..... send me beautiful pictures, pictures that make you happy, pictures that make you cry, pictures that inspire you, or a picture that just makes you feel. I know its a really weird request and I'm not sure what I'll do with the pictures but I want them. I want to know the people still have joy and beauty in them..
Here are some images I find beautiful:
While I know I genuinely sound like I've cracked I promise you all I haven't. So please send me your pictures. You can tell me why you sent them, what they mean to you or nothing at all:
You can comment bellow, email me at torynglavin@gmail.com or tweet them to me at @torynglavin. Thank you, you beautiful people !

Mariella's got another secret !!
Ok so as you may have guessed this is ANOTHER post about Kate Nash !! The first one -----> Mariella Has a Secret -----> was about Kate in general, this one is about the impact going to see her in Whelans this week had on me !!!!!! :D She really was amazing :D
So first a little about the tour, the tour is one of the most unusual I have ever been to, named the Faster Pussycats ! Run Run 2012, it is not really in support of any current album but is instead to test out a new genre and style that Kate has been working on. I discussed in my blog ---> Serious blog 2: A dangerous weapon :( ---> Kate's sudden change in appearance but I didn't mention her change in music. Kate, in my opinion, is no longer our little pop indie queen but is now a punk rock princess who has, as some unimaginative critic said, "commit career suicide".
It seem impossible to me that a singer/songwriter can commit "career suicide" by singing and writing songs !! Perhaps if she said her fans were stupid, it would have been career suicide, perhaps if she had become an investment banker, it would have been career suicide, but writing music under another style is not career suicide. Its brave.
Another big impact the beautiful Ms Nash had on me was she made me feel so FREE :D Kate between each song would share so much of her thoughts. She made me particularly proud to be gay as she spoke about the LGBT community. She's also such an amazing spokes-woman for anyone who needs a voice in society, and her feminist views are AMAZING, as she talked about her all girl band and how she should not be questioned on having one at the gig.
My 5 highlights from the gig are:
1. The fact she came on stage in a wedding dress as a tribute to her cousin, I think, who is getting married soon. Honestly people, have you ever been to a gig where the artist came on stage in a vintage wedding dress ??? Anyone ???
2. The bras, THE BRAS !! It was hilarious to watch Kate being buried under a pile of fans bras as the flew at her from all directions. Also..... THE CHEEK OF THEM TO ASK FOR THEIR BRAS BACK !!!!!! :O
3. The fact that she was so outspoken about gay rights, women's rights and general human rights. She could be the next Gandhi !!!! :P PS. I wanna join her gang !!!!! :D
4. Lullaby for an insomniac. I really hope this song is on her next album because it really was so beautiful that I have to listen to it again. Also the fact it took FOREVER to get us all to shut up so she could perform it accapella was pretty funny !!!! :P
5. HER !!!
So after this ... passionate post I assume you will all run out to buy tickets for the next time she's in Dublin (or your local area) because she is just AMAZING.
And one last thing ..... THANK YOU KATE :D You rock ! :)

Why I'm proud !
First of all I'd like to thank everyone for getting me over a 1000 views !! It may seem small but to me its a big deal !! :D THANK YOU :D
Ok so as I have already mentioned ,yesterday I had the most amazingly gay day of my life, I was at PRIDE bitches ! :D For those of you who have never been pride is basically a giant party (with a parade :P) to celebrate everything LGBT in society and to fight for further rights such as marriage and adoption for our community.
So we started off the day with no particular plans, just to march, nothing more, but on our way up to the start point (the garden of remembrance) we were asked to carry the flag !!! This is exciting because the flag is HUGE, its like 100 foot long and a whole street wide and requires 80 people to carry it and its just AMAZING. Sorry I is getting very excited but it was an unbelievable day !!! :D
Either side of this monumental flag where so many floats with double decker buses, trucks and cars carrying queers, drag queens and dykes galore having a fantastic time. The whole atmosphere was just so joyful that you couldn't help but get caught up in the madness of it. There was so much to see from half naked angels to drag brides on stilts to drunken messes like Feisty O'Reily that you could not help but dance and shout.
So anyway I would most certainly encourage everyone to attend Pride next year but also to attend the march for marriage equality on what I am almost sure is August 12th in Dublin. Not to take things too seriously now but every person in this country should have the same rights as any other citizen so please come help us fight for ours.

I'm Bi-Winning :D
Today I went to Pride :D It was the BEST thing EVER !!!!! Ok so I just had to let you know :P I might put a post about it tomorrow but for now this one will have to do as I have already written it !! :P
Ok so a few months ago while this pretty little blog lay dormant sky 1 ran a weekly competition were Glee fans could write a review of that weeks episode of glee and the best would be featured on Sky 1's website. I was lucky enough to be chosen and it only just occurred to me to share it with you peeps !!! Here's the link to the blog on Sky 1's website ----> http://sky1.sky.com/are-you-this-weeks-glee-blogger (Go down to episode 6 :P)
Now I wasn't given the chance to format the blog they put on their website so I've decide I will format it to my own taste here. So here we go new and improved layout coming in 5 ..... 4 ....... 3 ....... .. 2 ......... 1 ----------->
Its back - the annual Glee mash-up episode is here again and this year it comes back bigger and better than ever with songs by two of the biggest artists on the planet - the ever insane Lady Gaga and the always humble Adele.
The episode starts with a rousing rendition of “Hot For Teacher” by Californian rockers Van Halen performed by resident bad boy Noah Puckerman. In one of the best twists so far this season Noah is found falling for his ex-flame Rachel Berry’s biological mother Shelby Corcoran.
While things heat up between the New Directions and the Troubletones, Shelby and Mr. Schuester attempt to cool the tension by performing a mash-up of Lady Gaga’s hit single “You and I” and the 1982 duet by Eddie Rabbit and Crystal Gayle of the same name.
They declare this week's assignment is for both clubs is to create a mash-up and perform it in a mash off. This leads to a disastrous game of dodge ball and Racheal dropping out of the presidential race whilst in other news Sue and Burts campaigns lead to a very big problem for one of the Troubletones.
Would you expect any less drama from the ever turbulent McKinley High?

Love is a human experience :)

... Why ???
...... Cause I said so now shut up and let me continue !!
... Ok :'(
...... Oh don't cry !!! Wait let me explain :)
There are two very important reasons that today's subject must be so gay :P The first is that tomorrow I'm going to gay pride for the first time !!!!!! :D I'm soooooo bloody excited :D I'm wearing my mickey mouse glasses in they style of Lady Gaga's Paparazzi video and my converse boots and I just can't frickin wait !!
After living in the country side for so many years I've always experienced very conservative views on things such a sexuality with even the kindest people having problems with members of the LGBT community and I guess this is why Pride is so exciting !! Everyone will either be gay or will love us !! T'will be fantastically, orcasmically amazing !!! :)
Another reason I have to write about LGBT today is due to Anne Hathaway. Anne has always been such an inspiration to me and I have loved her for so many years that when I read the following extract from a speech made by Ms Hathaway I could not believe how lucky I was to have such an inspirational woman to look up to:
"In my household, being gay was, and is, no big deal. When my brother came out, we hugged him, said we loved him and that was that. Just for the record, we don’t feel that there is actually anything alternative about our family values. I don’t consider myself just an ally to the LGBT community, I consider myself your family. If anyone, ever, tries to hurt you, I’m going to give them hell. There are people who’ve said that I’m being brave for being openly supportive of gay marriage and gay adoption. With all due respect, I’m humbly decent. I’m not being brave, I’m being a decent human being. Love is a human experience, not a political statement."
The line in this that genuinely nearly had me in tears was "I don’t consider myself just an ally to the LGBT community, I consider myself your family. If anyone, ever, tries to hurt you, I’m going to give them hell". Anne doesn't direct this at a vulnerable, weak or depressed group in society who needs her charity, she makes sure we are all aware that when she says this she is directing it at a free, open and beautiful group of people who sometimes need help in this unfair modern world.
This gives me hope. With celebrities and politicians like David Norris, Jane Lynch, Barack Obama, Chris Colfer, Mary Robinson, Lady Gaga, Ellen DeGeneres and so many others fighting for our rights soon the governments and people of this world will have to listen.
I know I've already ended a post with a quote from Born This Way this week but I fear I shall have to do it again:
"No matter gay, straight, or bi,
Lesbian, transgender life
I'm on the right track baby
I was born to survive."
I'm on the right track baby
I was born to survive."

Bring me all the toys you can find :D
Ok so before we start I would like to thank the beautiful Amie Gerardi for putting me in a youtube video !!! I've never been in one before :P So please go watch, Dundrum adventure and subscribe !!!! :P

So today's title is taken from Playground by the ever brilliant Sia (which would better help you understand where I'm coming from if you listen to it !!! :P) as today I wish to talk about growing up. Ok so last night I had kind of a weird night, I played hide and seek and blind man's buff for like 3 hours !!! And not with kids, we were all between 16 and 18 but it was just so fun !! Now I want to be a kid again :'(
So why have I suddenly got problems with growing up ?? Its all I've wanted to do for years, grow up, its always seemed like the best thing that could ever happen but now I'm not sure. I think its cause I'm going to collage now !! I don't know whether I'm happy or sad about this people !!!!
... But Toryn college is all you've ever wanted :O
....... But it be scary :(
... Pull yourself together man !!!
...... I'll try :'(
... Don't try. Do !!!
So should we be afraid of collage or not ??? I think we should be slightly frightened but not terrified. We should be cautious but we should not let or fear stop us in anyway. We should be safe, be careful, be cautious but we should not be limited. We should make the best of these coming months and never let fear hold us back. So best of luck to everyone in September ! :) You'll all do great :)
PS. I apologise for the random babble contained in this post !! :P It's kind of a weird one :P Also follow me on twitter people !!!!! :D ----> @torynglavin :P

Serious blog 2: A dangerous weapon :(
Ok so today's post is about one of the most fundamental parts of today's society..... IMAGE. In today's world image is literally everything !!! Careers are made by obtaining images, not caring about images, renewing images and even destroying others images. Money makes the world go round and images make money.
This blog was inspired by Kate Nash's sudden transformation in the last few months. Kate has recently gone from a ginger who wore random clothing and carried a tiny bit too much weight to a petite thing who looks like she shops in new look and has blonde and black hair. Kind of a major change.
But is our image who we really are ??? When I first came across Kate's new look I was ever so slightly outraged. How dare she become so ...... so ....... MAINSTREAM. But alas I fear I was being far too judgemental, after all image isn't everything, apart from being a way of expressing one's self (which in my opinion is so so so so SO important) it actually has very little other worth. The only other use for image is as a weapon.
That's really all image is in today's media !!! Its a weapon to be used against people. You can use people's own images against them, you can use your own image against others or yourself, the media can use images to destroy careers, its never ending. So I applaud Ms Nash for her actions. In a time when image is such a dangerous thing she had the courage to change. Bravo !!!
Oh and if your wondering what serious blog 1 was it was this ----> Born this way !!!

Born this way !!!
Oh dear god, I genuinely can not believe I'm about to do this..........guys.........it's time to get serious :/ Yesterday I saw this video -----> Making The Bus Monitor Cry -------> and I genuinely could not believe it. So I'm afraid today we're gonna have to discuss bullying.
When I saw this I was shocked this kinda thing still happens. I say still because it happened to me for years........but because my bullying had to a major degree stopped I assumed all bullying had, that may have been very naive but that's really what I thought for some unknown reason. its truly what I felt. That's why I have to write about it !!!!! If I a ........ survivor ??? Yes survivor of bullying can to a large extent forget it happens then people who haven't experienced must not believe it exists !
After I saw that video all I could think to do was post it on Lady Gaga's wall. That may seem like such a weird thing to do but I really feel Gaga can do something about it. I feel this video needs to be seen by people not for them to go, "OMG those pricks" but instead so they say "I can never do that". I think this video needs to be watched so people realise what they do that is wrong. This video should be used as a tool to teach people how wrong bullying is. In this way Karen's ordeal can help others.
I know that bullying may seem like a very juvenile topic for a blog written by an 18 year old but this video shows it's not !! This women Karen is 68 yet she can still be bullied, and I'm 18 and I can still end up having a break down and locking myself in a toilet for 2 hours in school after getting shouted at by a group of 5th years for being gay. Bullying is in no way a juvenile subject !!!
We have to continue watching for bullying and we HAVE to do something about it when we witness it !! There's no point in witnessing one of these confidence destroying acts and going "oh dear that's terrible" and then NEVER doing anything. I urge all of you to do something. I've seen good people do nothing about bullying and I've had periods in my life where I wished someone would do or say something to help me so please guys just do something !!!!
So remember things don't have to stay like this, we can change the future to make a more positive and loving world. So do something !!!! :P
To end I quote the warrior Gaga:
"I'm beautiful in my way, cause god makes no mistakes, I'm on the right track baby I was born this way"
Here are some help full websites for anyone who is experiencing bullying, witnessing bullying or need help getting over their own experiences with bullying:

To end I quote the warrior Gaga:
"I'm beautiful in my way, cause god makes no mistakes, I'm on the right track baby I was born this way"

A Beautiful Bird :D
This is dedicated to the beautiful Marianne Mc Grath for showing an interest in the last two !!!!!!!!!! :D

I'm going to assume you all know who Wallis Bird is but just in case there are any idiots in my audience (no offence), Wallis Bird is an amazing young singer from Enniscorthy (near my house :D) with a penchant for being different and folk music. Bird is in no way new to the music scene, already on her third album, but is a really game changing force in the Irish music industry with enough energy to run a small city off of and the most enchanting stage presence ever (trust me I've seen her live) Wallis is truly someone we should all listen to !!!
... So you'll all go and listen to Wallis now ??? :P
...... No.
... Why ??? :O
..... You haven't given us any reasons to !!!!! >_<
... Oh sorry :/
So why should you go listen to her music ??? Well in my opinion the biggest appeal of Wallis' work is how out there and full of energy it is !!!! She deals with things in such an unusual and interesting way you can not help but be caught up in her world. Her first album Spoons is as good as any debut I've heard. The highlight for me has to be "Blossoms in The Street" thanks to the beautifully sung, beautifully written line
I don't know why but that line is just so......... PRETTY !!!!!! :P You can just see the image of a controlling man (or woman) with Wallis taking none of his (or her) crap. We also see beautiful imagery, amazing vocals and orgasmicly good writing on nearly every other track on the album with the other highlights being in my opinion "6 ft 8" and "Bring me Wine".

Her second album "New Boots" is the album I hold closest to my heart. My first taste of Wallis came when I borrowed my friend's copy of New Boots and I've been singing the songs ever since. The first song that really caught my attention was track 2 other wise known as "Travelling Bird". Travelling bird is such a free joyful song (feel free to disagree) that I can not help but be caught up in it and god does it make me wanna sing. This album is so beautiful, joy filled and different that I know every song by heart (this is not a joke, I went to a Wallis gig this year and literally sang every New Boots song at the top of my lungs). My favourite Bird songs (from all 3 albums) "Measuring Cities" (about the end of a relationship) and "When We Kissed the World Fell in Love!" (about the beginning of a relationship) both feature on this album.

Unfortunately, to my shame, I have not yet been able to buy the 3rd album (they weren't allowed sell it to us at the gig cause it was 2 days before the official release) but "Encore" "In Dictum" and "Ghosts Of Memories" are definitely highlights of what I've so far heard.

Why TV sucks now !!! :P
Okay so recently I've discovered that I don't really like new television particularly !!! Apart from the Big Bang Theory and Glee all the TV shows I watch started in the 90s !!!! :O Maybe its cause I'm a child of the 90s who had two older sisters who watched EVERYTHING GOOD but in my opinion the TV back then was soooooo much better !!!! :P
Usually I can't really watch old TV or movies or listen to old music but for some reason 90s TV is an exception. If I watched movies from the same period or listened to that times music I would more than likely be kinda bored but their TV was so frickin good !!!!!!!! >_< So here is a count down of the best TV shows that started in the 90s :
1.Will and Grace: Okay so Will and Grace...... Will and Grace .......... Where do I start ???? Will and Grace ran for 8 seasons between 1998 and 2006 and is the best gay based sitcom EVER !!!! I was four when Will and Grace started but thanks to my older sisters who where 14 and 16 when it started I grew up in the gay, metropolitan world of Will, Grace, Karen and Jack. The story is a simple story of Will and Grace who live together (Will is gay Grace is not :P) and their respective best friends Karen (Graces secretary) and Jack (who is camper then David Bowie riding a unicorn !!!). Many would disagree with me but I think this has to be the best of the 90s sitcoms !!!!!!!! :)
2.Friends: The most epic and perhaps best know of the 90s sitcoms, this show is a legend not just in the world of TV but in all of culture. Over the 10 seasons between 1994 (the year I was born !!!! :O) and 2004 we witnessed 6 people grow, mature and live in such a way that was revolutionary. This show is stuck in so many heads to the point that last year when its reruns were cancelled by E4 I genuinely thought we were all going to cry (thank god for Comedy Central !!!!! :P). On the list this is the only show I can actually remember watching live. I remember crying watching the last episode in 2004 and the hype that surrounded it (every 5 seconds RTE reminded you to watch it for weeks before). I think this show perhaps became so huge because it showed us all what we really wanted. A world were you are accepted for you !!!!
3.Charmed: Charmed for those of you who do not know was a supernatural drama which ran from 1998 to 2006 (the same as Will and Grace !!!!) and was about 3 sisters (one of who was replaced in the first episode of season 4 with a new previously unknown half sister) and their lives as the charmed ones, super powerful witches who's mission in life was to protect the worlds mortals from demonic powers. Any Big Bang Theory fans will be very interested to know that Kaley Cuoco starred in the 8th season as Billie a witch in need of help to find her lost sister. I personally love the series because of the powerful women it portrays with Prue, Piper, Phoebe and Paige kicking ass and saving the world while they bring up children, run a night club and write for a news paper among many other things.
4.Sex and the City: Okay so this may be about 90s shows, which this is starting in 1998, but I actually only fell in love with this recently. Due to the ...... em ....... adult nature of this show I never actually watched it when it was on TV (it aired from the time I was 4 to the time I was 10) but started watching this year after buying the first movie. While Samantha, Charlotte, Carrie and Miranda are all complete opposites there friendships are some of the strongest in TV history !!!! Like most good TV shows Sex and the City's appeal comes mainly from its characters, these girls are so real you cant help but love them. They have sex, talk about sex, cheat on their boyfriends and even go through menopause all while being lovable and kind. They are the perfect TV storm.
So what have we learnt from all this ??? Well ...... nothing really accept that I have faaaar too much time on my hands but please go out and watch these shows !!!!!! They are orgasmicly amazing :D

Mariella has a secret !!! :O
Ok so if your unfamilliar with the work of Kate Nash that title will make no sense so I apologise now :P In less than 3 weeks I will go and see the lovely Kate Nash in Dublin and this article has inspired me to write about this amazing woman !!!!

I first discovered Kate Nash when she released Foundations and me and my sister would listen to it everytime we got in the car as it was our favourite song on Now 67 !!!! I can actually remember singing it as loud as we possibly could driving through some town on our way to waterford and just having such a good time. She is perhaps on par with P!nk, Lily Allen and Anistacia as one of my first idols !!!!!
I realised recentley I have a thing for ginger singers. Florence Welch, Paloma Faith and Janet Devlin (Yes I know she was originaly blonde) are all ginger singers whose voices I love but this love started with Kate. Her first album, Made of Bricks, is a whirl wind of sex, love, dickheads, mouthwash and birds !!! (The last 3 are song titles from the album in case your confused :P). The highlights on this album in my opinion have to:
1. Play: A three lined master piece that despite having only 3 lines repeated over and over again is still an anthem about being a freak !!!!!
2. Mariella: Another anthem of freakdom about a girl who "got some pritt stick and she glued her lips together" and who "marched to her wardrobe and threw away the colour. In my opinion this is a highlight as its like nothing you've heard before !!!!! :)
3. Birds: A beautiful song about a boy who uses birds as a metaphore for the love he feels for his partner. Its especially epic in the fact Nash managed to write a love song that includes the line "Birds can fly so high and they can shit on your head"

Nash's second album was impossibly enough better then Made of Bricks. My Best Friend is You is a mess of different techniques and experimental songs. Although in my opinion the album cover isn't half as beautiful as made of bricks the music is just so inspirational !!!! The highlights from My Best Friend is You are :

1. I've Got a Secret: Much like Play this song once again only has 3 lines !!!! I bet you can't guess what its about !!!!!! :P
2. Mansion Song: A significant track focused on the perception of women in todays society I love this song not for the sung part further into to the song but rather for the speech/rap which opens the song. Nash starts this track with a true bang with the line "I fancy the hip rock and role scenester, I wanna be fucked and then roled over cause I'm a independant woman of the 21st century". This is definitley for you if you have and interest in women in society. "The crowd go wild and things get ruder" !!!!!!!!! :P
3. Don't You Want To Share The Guilt: This track is honestly my favourite song by Nash. Once again its not particularly her singing but is instead her speech/rap the really intrigues me. A song about mental health Nash shouts about how hard life can be and describes thinking as "one of the most stressfull things I've ever come across" and questions why more people don't have more mental health problems. Really worth a listen.
... So willl you go listen to Kate now ???
....... Yes of course we will Toryn !!!!! :D
... Good my work here is done :)

The fame monster (-_-)

So why is it so hard to be a performer?? Is it not
like any other profession??? You never hear anyone giving out about all the people aspiring to be accountants, yet there seems to be something wrong with wanting to perform. But its not our fault is it?? If you wanted to be a science student the whole world would immediately support you praising your good choices. I think it perhaps must, like many problems, be Hollywood ’s fault. Many people who say they want to be “performers” actually mean they want to be famous. They have no interest in inspiring people and they have no aspirations to create something as beautiful as a Florence + The Machine song they just want that ever elusive fame. As madam Gaga once said on her first album while pondering that monster, “doin’ it for the fame cause we wanna live the life of the rich and famous”.

Show business may just be out of our grasp. Maybe we aren’t all going to get there. Maybe we should just give up now…… NEVER…… What if ADELE had just given up ??? Or the late Amy Winehouse??? Or Gags??? Lily Allen??? Paloma Faith ??? Anthony Hegarty ??? Where would the next generation get there inspiration if these people hadn’t followed there dreams??? From Cher Llyod ??? I don’t think so. Unfortunately all those musicians, actors, artists, people who fail at there dreams are necessary casualties in the continous war of the artistic world. Unfortunately there always has to be that group of runners up for the one truly remarkable winner.
Just sayin………
Oh and by the way left hand side pictures boooo the right hand side pictures yay !!!!!! :P :D
