I know I have already put a post up today but I felt the need to post another due to the fact that the 25th of february 2011 (today) is a day that will go down in history for the simple reason, and not to put too fine a point on it. YOUR FUTURE IS BEING DECIDED.

For the benefit of thoose who have been trapped on an alien planet for the last half a decade, the country is fucked. We have no money and leaders who are beyond stupid. But today we had the chance to try and change this (well, when I say we I mean everyone over 18, because people under 18 don't have the right to decide their own future). Anyhoo....... The voting has now been closed for 2 hours and in another 9 they will begin counting the results.
So what does that mean? I hear you asking. Why should I care? You should care for lots of reasons:
1. YOUR FUTURE IS BEING DECIDED. If the wrong party is voted in then I am sorry to inform you that emigration is more than likley in your near future
2. YOUR FUTURE IS BEING DECIDED. If the wrong party is voted in you will be charged even more for college ( By the way, the don't care if you can't afford it)
3. YOUR FUTURE IS BEING DECIDED. Now some of you out there might be suprised to find out not every one in this "free" society has the right to marry. So you may find yourself in the near future not having as many rights as your peers. Some parties want to change this, some don't

So after that I have one simple question. Why can't people under 18 vote ???? I am under 18. Do I sound un-informed and naive. No (if you dissagree please feel free to feck off). So why can't I decide my future ???? I am in no way suggesting that we have a load of 4 year old running around at the ballot box, but why not 16 year olds ? if I am old enough by law to have a child, then shouldnt I be old enough to vote ?
Oh and one last thing. Goodbye Fianna Fáil !!!!!!! Thank you for ruining our once proud island.
I don't mind who gets in as long as we don't have a single party government. There's no one party that got us into this mess and there's no one party that can get us out. If Fine Gael had been in government after the last election, Fianna Fáil would be getting the majority vote this time around. Those are my views but great post. It obviously got me fired up to comment. :P
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you :P :D I have realised over the last few days I am a labour supporter :P
